100 Days Until Christmas
Friends and fellow calligraphy lovers, I’m so pleased to be able to share with you my newest product collection created and curated during the summer months in readiness for Christmas 2020.
Tideline - Blue Christmas Bauble
Inspired by the tide line found on the beach, with waves dipping to and fro. These baubles are all hand-dipped, dried and repeatedly dipped until I’m happy with the result.
Once dried these baubles are then personalised with white calligraphy ink in my hand-lettered modern calligraphy style.
Having spent the past couple of years personalising white baubles with various ink colours I’m was really interested in expanding the design in other ways. The two options I worked with were hand-dipping or aqua dipping. Whilst the aqua dipped baubles looked lovely, the silver marbling over the blue made it quite difficult to letter over. Hand dipping was not only really effective but actually lots of fun!
Inspired by the beautiful beach tide lines of the Devon and Cornish coast, these pretty baubles are individually hand-dipped and personalised with white calligraphy ink making them the perfect gift for those who love nothing more than spending their time on the coast enjoying the beach and waves.
All you need to do is let me know your personal message on checkout including what colour cord you would like to hang your bauble, from jute, white cord or orange coral faux suede cord.
Luxury engraved glass Christmas baubles
A second project that originated from my hand engraved gin and champagne glasses were these lovely large glass Christmas baubles. I wanted something that was the complete opposite of the ceramic baubles but also a product that I could make my mark on. Enter glass baubles, I love how luxurious these feel with the gold engraved calligraphy. The ribbon has been chosen to really add a little something sparkly and pretty and really finishes off the look of the piece of work.
