Calligraphy tutorials - Perfect Warm Up Drills
Today I will show you how to warm up your calligraphy with some great warm-up drills. The calligraphy drills shown in this video are the ones I demonstrate to all beginner calligraphy students. In particular, the reason I use these as they all form the basis of the characters you will be creating when writing letters and words.

Christmas feels a long time ago no? All the fuzzy warm feelings and anticipation of the good stuff, time together and munching whatever we want. I always feel like January is a looooong old month. To me, It seems like winter (especially in Plymouth) is just a season of grey skies and mizzle.

In this video, I will show you how to create an ornamental flourished feather quill. This is by far my favourite thing to create for envelope calligraphy, believe me, it's not as complicated as it looks!

Well, I can’t quite believe it’s been nearly a year to the day since my last blog post. I think that’s a pretty good indication of how up and down / crazy 2021 was for me personally and for Wild Sea Calligraphy.
In-Store Personalisation for Tarquins Gin
In December I spent a number of days with Tarquins Gin in their Padstow and St Ives stores personalising their gin bottle labels for Christmas. They were such a wonderfully welcoming company to work for. It was so lovely to hear the history of the brand, visit their shops and meet customers buying Christmas gifts for loved ones.
New Procreate Brush Now Available
Since 2017 I’ve been tinkering away on the best brush for my lettering style and have created a variety of brushes that I currently sell on my Etsy storefront. Recently I’m pretty sure that I have mastered the perfect Procreate brush that makes writing on an iPad Pro just divine.

Obviously saying this with a pinch of salt because we all know how 2020 turned out! I have some wonderful news and something that I have been thinking about for a while and finally sat down and planned during the Christmas break.
