Guest Speaker at Blink Lettering’s The Calligraphy Collection 2025 in Exeter
I was delighted to be invited as a guest speaker by Milly at Blink Lettering for her 2025 The Calligraphy Collection session, held in Exeter. It was such a pleasure to be part of an event that celebrates creativity, craftsmanship and the calligraphy community in such a thoughtful and inspiring way.
The session brought together calligraphers and lettering artists who share a love for learning, slowing down and developing their skills. Being surrounded by so many passionate creatives made the experience feel both welcoming and energising, and it was wonderful to connect with attendees at different stages of their calligraphy journey.
During my talk, I shared insights from my own path as a calligrapher, from learning the foundations of lettering to building a creative practice that includes teaching, client work and collaborations. I spoke about the importance of finding your own style, staying curious, and allowing your work to evolve naturally over time.
One of the highlights of the day was the opportunity to answer questions and have open conversations about confidence, creativity and making space for calligraphy within busy lives. These moments of connection are always so meaningful and remind me why I love being part of this community.
A huge thank you to Milly for the kind invitation and for creating such a beautifully considered event through Blink Lettering. It was an honour to contribute to The Calligraphy Collection 2025 in Exeter, and I left feeling inspired by the talent, enthusiasm and generosity of everyone involved.
If you would like me to speak at a future event, workshop or creative gathering, please feel free to get in touch.
