My CalliFest 2025 Online Workshop with Manuscript Pen Company

I was delighted to take part in Manuscript Pen Company’s CalliFest 2025, leading an online workshop as part of this wonderful celebration of calligraphy and creativity. CalliFest brings together calligraphers and lettering artists from around the world to mark World Calligraphy Day with free workshops, demonstrations and inspiration for all skill levels.

What is CalliFest?

CalliFest is an annual online festival hosted by Manuscript Pen Company, designed to make calligraphy accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Over several days, artists share tutorials, creative prompts and live sessions, encouraging people to try new tools, learn new styles and enjoy the process of lettering.

It is always such a pleasure to be part of an event that celebrates both traditional skills and modern creativity, while welcoming complete beginners and experienced calligraphers alike.

My Online Workshop

For CalliFest 2025, I created an online workshop focusing on approachable calligraphy techniques that you can easily practise at home. The aim was to keep things relaxed, encouraging and practical, so you could follow along at your own pace.

What You Will Learn

In the workshop, I cover:

  • The tools and materials needed to get started

  • Step by step guidance through the lettering process

  • Tips for building confidence with your strokes

  • Simple ways to develop your own style through practice

Whether you are completely new to calligraphy or looking to refine your technique, the session is designed to be easy to follow and enjoyable.

A Lovely Creative Community

One of my favourite parts of CalliFest is seeing the work shared by participants afterwards. It is always inspiring to see how everyone interprets the techniques in their own way. Thank you to everyone who joined in, shared their practice pieces and tagged Manuscript Pen Company.

Looking Ahead

Being part of CalliFest 2025 was a real highlight, and I am so grateful to Manuscript Pen Company for inviting me to contribute. If you have not yet watched the workshop, I hope you enjoy catching up and spending some time lettering.

Happy practising and happy calligraphy.
