Brush Lettering for an Extravagant London Birthday Party with Lillingston Events
One of the greatest joys of working as a calligrapher is collaborating with creative teams who truly value detail, atmosphere and craftsmanship. This recent brush lettering project for a very extravagant birthday party in London, planned and designed by Lillingston Events, was exactly that.
Lillingston are one of my absolute favourite clients to work with. Every brief they send over is thoughtful, imaginative and always pushes me creatively. They have a wonderful ability to dream big while still paying attention to the smallest details, which makes my role as a lettering artist both exciting and rewarding.
For this celebration, my brush lettering was used to add a bespoke, handcrafted feel to the event styling. Brush lettering brings a sense of movement and personality that feels especially fitting for a birthday celebration, something expressive, celebratory and completely one of a kind. Each piece was created to complement the overall design vision, blending seamlessly with the florals, tablescapes and luxurious surroundings of the London venue.
What I love most about working on events like this is how lettering becomes part of the experience. Guests may not always consciously notice it, but it contributes to the mood, the storytelling and the feeling that everything has been carefully considered. That is where brush lettering really shines.
Seeing the finished event come together through the lens of Ollie Blackwell was a joy. The photography beautifully captures the atmosphere of the evening and the finer details that make these celebrations so memorable.
Projects like this are a reminder of why I love working within the events industry. Collaborating with talented planners like Lillingston Events, who consistently champion creativity, makes every project feel special.
