I was honoured to be commissioned by the Eden Project to create a bespoke piece of calligraphy to be presented to their Chinese counterparts to mark the opening of Oriental Eden. This was a deeply meaningful project, celebrating not only the launch of a new Eden site, but also the shared values, friendship and collaboration between East and West.

I was delighted to be invited to be the calligrapher demonstrating Manuscript Pen Company’s products at the London Stationery Show 2025.

Across the event, I spent time showcasing a range of Manuscript’s calligraphy pens, nibs and inks, demonstrating how they can be used across different lettering styles. From classic pointed pen calligraphy to more relaxed modern scripts, it was a pleasure to show how versatile and accessible these tools are for both beginners and more experienced calligraphers.

Being invited to create a piece of calligraphy art in support of The Manuscript Pen Company rebrand was a real honour, particularly knowing the depth of history behind the brand. Manuscript has been producing writing instruments since 1856, a legacy that places craftsmanship, innovation and a love of the written word at its very core.

Foundations of Calligraphy by Sheila Waters.

I bought this book after taking a Gothecized Italics workshop with Barbara Calzolari in 2020. It was recommended to help support her style of work, having herself been taught by Waters.

December is always one of the most magical months to work as a calligrapher, and this year I had the pleasure of spending time at Jo Malone in Exeter, personalising and engraving boxes and perfume bottles for The Modern Calligraphy Company.

In December, I had the pleasure of teaching a beginner modern calligraphy workshop at the beautiful Caroline Gardiner store in Marylebone, London. Set in the heart of the city, the shop provided the perfect backdrop for a cosy and creative afternoon, surrounded by thoughtfully designed stationery, gifts and festive details.

This summer, I had the absolute pleasure of spending the day at the iconic Fortnum & Mason in London to celebrate World Calligraphy Day 2024 with the wonderful team from Manuscript Pen Company.

Set against the backdrop of Fortnum’s elegant stationery department, I spent the day creating personalised calligraphy pieces for visitors.
